
What is Gnome House?
Gnome House is a community arts space in Walthamstow, East London. It includes a printmaking studio, a large community/creative space available for hire and a pop-up cafe.
Gnome House is a formerly derelict factory. It’s transformation into a vibrant community arts space was led by local residents and artists.

Gnome House and young people – the ‘Ratpack’
Putting young people first is a priority for Gnome House.
The Ratpack is the name for the Gnome House youth group. The Ratpack meet on Saturdays to take part in a variety of different creative activities from printmaking to gardening. The young people also act as a steering committee, helping to shape the future vision for Gnome House and decide what kind of place they would like it to be.

What type of organisation runs Gnome House?
Gnome House is run by Gnome House Community Interest Company (CIC.) A CIC is a type of social enterprise that wants to use its profits and assets for the public good.

Since May 2015 Gnome House has hosted numerous community groups and activities including: African drumming workshops, art classes, dance rehearsals and performances, exhibitions, meetings, conferences, weddings, theatre rehearsals and performances, birthday parties, cooking classes, pop-up cafes and much, much more!
