Love coffee?

Then you’ll be excited to know that E17’s favourite coffee roasters, Perky Blenders, are coming to Gnome House!

On Mondays in June, from 7am to 3pm Perky Blenders will be serving freshly made coffee from their funky Piagio van outside Gnome House. So please come along, grab yourself a coffee and support this fantastic local business!

Movies at Gnome House: Saturday June 11th

Stow Film Lounge are back at Gnome House on Saturday 11th June with two great films – one for kids in the afternoon and one for the adults in the evening. There will be the usual pop-corn & hot-dogs – with a bar and pre-ordered pizza in the evening.

Goosebumps is an adventure for all the family. Doors open at 4pm and the film is at 4.30pm. Tickets and further info HERE

Inky Cuttlefish Summer Exhibition: Saturday 10th – Sunday 12th June

Cocktails Saturday 11th June from 2-6pm

If you’re looking for some wonderful affordable art then come along to the Inky Cuttlefish Studios summer exhibition from Friday 10th – Sunday 12th June from 12-6pm.

On Saturday 11th June from 2-6pm all are invited for cocktails – and to celebrate the launch of Inky’s mezzanine shop – a treasure trove of print works made by Inky Cuttlefish members.

AND… at 6PM on the 11th a 25 min film by Vanya Sacha will be shown called ‘Walthamstow: An Urban Renaissance.’ Vanya’s film explores the impact that artists, from different ethnic backgrounds, are having on Walthamstow and how they are contributing to revitalising the community. Local artists talk about their practice and how they see art improve and break through religious, social and economic barriers within the community.

Jazz performance for Children: Molly & the Owl
Sunday 12th June 2-4pm.

Molly and the Owl is a “jazz fairy tale” about a young girl and her strange meeting with a saxophone playing owl. The piece is part of the E17Jazz summer-season and is performed live by composer & pianist Nick Tomlin & guests. Molly & the Owl introduces the basics of jazz to a young audience (5-12 year olds) in a fun and accessible way.

The Ideas Kitchen: Saturday June 18th, 7pm

Come and share in a community dinner, listen to five creative ideas that would benefit the residents of Waltham Forest and then vote on your favourite. Suggested donation (which will go to support the winning project) is £5. More info HERE

Children’s Art Workshops: Saturdays and Tuesdays after-school

Inky Cuttlefish printmaking studios, based at Gnome House are running two childrens art workshops.

Saturdays 10.30-12pm for 6-16 year olds.
£5 drop in or £40 for 10 sessions (siblings half price)

Tuesdays after-school – starts June 7th for 4 weeks.
£5 drop in or £15 for 4 sessions (siblings half price)

Inky Cuttlefish printmaking studios, based at Gnome House are running a series of printmaking workshops for adults.

16 July 2016: 1-5pm Introduction to Screenprinting 
24 September 2016: 1-5pm: Introduction to Screenprinting
15 October 2016: 1-5pm: Introduction to Etching
12 November 2016: 1-5pm: Printmaking Taster

Each workshop: £35 members, £60 non members
